that little piece of paper in my prayer box
MIGHT BE ANSWERED.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(^ that’s me bursting with excitement in my heart!!!)
I mentioned back in February that I have this tiny piece of paper in a prayer box that a friend gave me… it reads “big brother and little sister to be adopted by May 2015″.
My husband and I learned today that bio dad is considering voluntarily terminating his rights… which is HUGE! Previously bio dad talked about fighting for big brother and little sister. Turns out his talk hasn’t been backed up with action. He has been out of prison since November.
With bio mom being in prison and pregnant with a baby from another guy if big brother and little sister’s bio dad voluntarily terminates his rights it is VERY likely bio mom will do the same in an effort to keep the baby in her womb.
Please join us over this next week in praying bio dad agrees to voluntarily terminate his parental rights.
Doing so:
(1) would move the timeline along rather quickly with the adoption finalized in just a few months (rather than Christmas or next spring)
(2) could mean a closing or goodbye visit with bio dad in the near future (i.e. this would be the FINAL road trip)
(3) would allow big brother and little sister to know that we are their forever home
Typing “forever home” has a new meaning as I type it tonight. It’s almost real. A vision I have had on my heart for years… a vision without faces… a vision that now has faces… a vision that has now has laughs, memories, and has fallen in love… a vision that is now coming to life.
We anticipate an update sometime next week.
We covet your prayers and support as we finish the journey to finalizing permanency.
